| Before I bought this housing, I had
already seen a couple of them with the lilac
plastic block on the base, that mounts the strobe arm
(just visible in this picture between the lens and
the hand grip), cracked. I specifically asked
Cameras Underwater about this problem and they insisted
that they had never seen it.
My camera has never been held during an entry
to the water but always handed to me once I am in
the water. Sure enough, after only a few dives,
the plastic base is cracked.
I wonder whether my question was answered
