Four superb days spent in Paris before returning to England for New Years Eve. It was a standard sightseeing trip since it was my first time to Paris. Lots of time spent around Saint-Michel and la Sorbonne. Other highlights were Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, le Louvre (I waited for ages to get a shot of the Venus de Milo), l'Arc de Triomphe and the Pompidou centre. We didn't get time to visit the arch de la Défénse but I got a shot through the rain from the top of the Arc de Triomphe. The traffic around the island was amazing and we were there during a quiet period! Whole blocks of traffic would set off together with no apparent prompt and suddenly scream to a halt again for another lot to go. I really enjoyed le Bateau Mouche, which I originally called le Bateau Rouge, but none of the pictures I took from it were sharp enough to display. :0(
