Taken during July 2002 around Sharm el Sheik and
Ras Mohammed, these pictures were our first attempts at
underwater photography with a digital camera. We stayed in
Na'ama Bay with Oonas and sailed most days on Flying Dolphin.
The wrecks are the Dunraven and the Yollanda and the dolphins followed us home on
our last day. The Napoleon was enormous and the biomass at Ras
Mohammed at this time of year unbelievable. The strange creature
walking along the bottom is a Red Sea Walkman. As I explained in
the strobe section, all underwater
pictures in this gallery are taken in natural light since the
strobe and camera shutter were not in sync. We have since acquired
a UR-Pro CY filter and are waiting to
compare the results after Easter 2003.
